WebNov 26, 2011 · Long story short on my 390 w/adj rockers, when my new rocker shaft broke and bent 2 push rods, all my "engine friends" said call Smith Brothers. Did, they said stock rods were ~ 400 lb strength. They did a custom set in two days @ 900 lb test. Said I won't bend this set. Got them, dropped them in and adjusted them. Good to go.
