I remember back in the good ol days when nobody knew how to get it legitimately so you would have to glitch the game to get into Old Town early since the map would be all weird causing the machete to float in the air.

You can block Goon attacks, bullets from guns, and even a Demolisher charge, altho you will get knocked down but it negates some of the damage. I will be buying light shields much more often.
