WebCubism is an analysis of vision and of its representation and it is challenging. As a society we seem to believe that all art ought to be easily understandable or at least beautiful. That's the part I find confusing. WebGuernica was painted 30 years after Cubism's beginnings (The Art Story, n.-a), and Picasso had matured and been influenced by other movements and artists throughout his time (The Art Story, n.-b). I would not classify Guernica as a single style. I see strong elements of Cubism of course, but also Surrealism when I look at this painting.
